Nothing To Be Bored Of

There are pastimes each of us enjoys that irritate other people.  The way I see it this is just human nature.  A very key factor how you choose relationships with other people.  Life as we know it progresses on judgments, likes and dis-likes, humans evolve around the daily activities put before us.

I would think that any of the people who read this might be able to relate to being in situations where you are bored with nothing to do.  It does not just seem like there is nothing to do, there is actually nothing to do.  Absent of any cards, or board games, or projects, or books, or usual ways people occupy their time such as sword swallowing, the ol’ 60’s fad of folding bubble gum wrapper chains, or the lost art of crochet.  This sounds unusual and very impossible, and seemingly outdated.

To think that tools for social interaction at their finest such as board games are becoming a way of the past seems bazaar to me.  Of course, people have the information expressway handy, aka, smart devices.  In a group or four or five people that you would be able to get along with, for the heck of it how would you mix up social activities with no props for fun what would you do?  For the sake of this thought, it may be a situation of a day or two or being stuck in the elevator for a few hours.

Maybe as luck would have it there will be a playful group of people to play word games or any of the articles you happen to have with you that day could entertain some dumb way.  Entertainment as a distraction or a way to carry time is the approach I would take.  Others may decide that talking a plan out or goal setting, or enjoying a conversation or sleeping or whatever it may be is the best way to kill time.

What if in a situation like this there was a person with a quirk that absolutely annoyed you?  Say its people using any profane language and either there is a foul-mouthed linguist or a person with turrets and favors dirty words.  Would you let this constant cursing drive you crazy?  Either of them probably will not stop swearing at your request with a strong chance of insult in response.

As things can get ugly in imaginable ways, this was just food for thought.  I hope this got you thinking and thanks for reading.  Practice makes perfect.

Quirks developed out of our pastimes can ignite fresh ideas and rouse activity.  Sometimes direct, others subliminal.  It is somewhat neat to see someone on auto piolet working at his or her craft.  Skills developed from years of fresh starts and being adventurous, not afraid to try new things.  What is it going to hurt?  Chances are you will probably forget about it in no time.
